HEAT YOUR HOME SAFELY

September 6, 2024
  • Back To Articles

Space heaters are the leading cause of home heating fires. Ensure you’re heating your home safely by following these easy steps:

-Look for any frayed wires, bent plugs, dust buildup, or anything that may become a fire hazard when in use.
-Plug directly into the wall outlet. NEVER USE AN EXTENSION CORD OR POWER STRIP.
-Keep anything that can burn at least 3 feet away.
– Place it on a low, hard and flat surface.
-Don’t leave your space heater unattended. Turn it off when you leave the room or your home.
