When a semi-truck overturned on an overpass at the 390-490 interchange last October, Gates Fire Chief Jim Harrington said the crews handled it well, but he believes more could have been done to lessen the impact on drivers.
“By us meeting the law enforcement, the fire, the EMS folks, we could have met and kind of taken a closer look at where we were going to route traffic,” Harrington said. “This way we wouldn’t have had to shut down everything westbound on 490.”
