Meet your Community Risk Reduction Specialists at the Gates Fire District: Kalliopi Lang and Laurie Schwenzer. Their job is to educate and empower the community to eliminate hazards and reduce risks for a safer community. The schools and students know them from the fire safety lessons they teach. Our senior residents may recognize them from the fall and fire prevention lessons taught in the community. Their safety trailer has been present at many of the community events around town throughout the year. If you see them this week during CRR Week, say hello and share something you have learned from any of their lessons. Remember, they are also available to install smoke and carbon monoxide alarms as a free service to our community. Call to schedule your appointment. Stay safe!!
