Yesterday, Solomon Stevens was awarded the Rochester Police Department’s “Do the Right Thing” Award.
In June, Solomon was at the Gates YMCA when his grandfather began to have a medical emergency and that’s when he stepped into action. Solomon pushed the pools alarm button and notified the lifeguards of what was going on. Solomon remained calm during this emergency and was able to get his grandfather the help he needed. The Gates Fire District is very proud of you!
